I opened it and it’s liquid. Not lotion or cream. Never again

Better For Targeting Smaller Areas
Because this is a hard balm beef tallow, I find that it's best to use for targeting smaller areas. Due to being a hard balm, it's just kind of difficult to remove from the jar. Use the back of your fingernail to scrape against the balm and that will help you to lift out a small clump that you can then massage along the skin. Or use a cosmetic scoop or spatula to do so. Does not come with one. Once you get this into your skin, it does do a lot to treat and condition the skin. Moisturizes and relieves dryness on a deep level. Especially good for those who suffer from various dry skin conditions. It does have a very light scent that I like, but because of that, I don't like using this on my face. Besides, I tend to not like balms on my face anyway. You may like it there though because it is quite helpful. I love using this on my dry hands, especially after washing them. Also quite good to use along the fingernails to strengthen them. Will not leave the hands feeling messy with a lot of damp residuals.
Made in the U.S.A.

Very light, absorbs easily
When I first opened this container, I was pretty confused. The moisturizer has the consistency of a watery soup or yogurt, but it's also kind of elastic, it made me think of a melted marshmallow. So far I like it a lot though, it absorbs into my face very easily and leaves it feeling extra soft and hydrated, without leaving any residue. It feels pretty lightweight on my skin too. It's a bit weird to apply because of the texture of the cream, I've just been dipping a finger in so it gets coated, then wiping it off my finger and rubbing it on my face.

Pure, simple moisture your skin will thank you for
This Beef Tallow Salve is a deeply nourishing, no-nonsense moisturizer that truly delivers. The blend of grass-fed beef tallow and honey creates a rich, soothing balm that melts into the skin and provides long-lasting hydration. It’s especially helpful on dry, cracked areas like hands, elbows, and heels, and it calms irritated or itchy skin without any harsh ingredients. The texture is thick but absorbs well, leaving skin soft and protected—not greasy. I appreciate the simple, all-natural formula and the fact that it’s made in the USA. A small amount goes a long way, making the jar last longer than expected. If you’re looking for a gentle, effective solution for dry or sensitive skin, this all-purpose salve is a dependable addition to your skincare routine.

Helps even after a few uses!!
I've bought several now, even one for my mom! Love the quality, texture and smell. I swear my face looked better even after first use. I even got a compliment when checking out with Guinness (ID check) - this never happens to me and I buy extra stout weekly. They really didn't think I was in my 30s!
I'm less-is-more mentality with skin care, and this stuff fits the bill. It has a lovely texture, feels great going on and forms a protective barrier all day! I've seen redness reduction, and maybe dark spot reduction (hard to tell), but definitely less redness and skin looks more nourished overall. It is the only product I use on my face. No makeup. Usually I use a cetaphil or cerave lotion in winter, but I have replaced that with this (a much more natural product)! ***I also love it is in glass, better for product shelf life and better for the environment!!!!!***
It is Vanilla scent but a natural scent, so it won't be strong like a perfume, it's very subtle which I appreciate. Another perk is US made, not coming from questionable manufacturers. And the price is awesome, comparable stuff is $30+
People complaining about lid :: make sure to get with a big order so your package comes in a box. I ordered once in envelope and the box was squished but the lid thankfully made it.
Also yes, if in a warm environment it will be more oily/greasy. Read the ingredients, this is normal. Animal fat, beeswax, olive oil and honey all become more pliable/liquify in warmer temps.
